Fortunately I was hoping to get some shots of them since I missed them when I went to the bird sanctuary the other day. Even got some vids of them.
They love getting attention so much the fight over it.
This one was the Bitey one.
A blog about living in New Zealand, seeing the sites, looking for native wildlife, traveling around and playing a few games along the way.
They look absolutely great :) I'd be quite pleased if they showed me some attention.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty animals, nice shots and vids!
ReplyDeleteYour love for these gorgeous NZ birds makes me want to come see them for myself!!!

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful pictures and video!
ReplyDeleteoh! cuteness!
ReplyDeleteI remember we had parrots way way then but I dunno why we lost them. they kind of fun but annoying at the same time. they can't just stop rambling the same words over and over again. haha! so noisy :p
Awesome birds!
ReplyDeleteThey look cute, how many words can they speak now?
ReplyDeleteLovely parrots :).
ReplyDeletebeautifully captured
ReplyDeletenice bird,
In India KAKA means Uncle.
I want one! ;)
DeleteA parrot, not an uncle! (just thought I'd clarify)
ReplyDeleteI too am a fan of our intelligent avian friends.
ReplyDeleteNie wiedziałam, ze papugi są takie wojownicze. Podobało mi się to, co pokazałeś na zdjęciach. Pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteI did not know that parrots are warlike. I liked what you showed in the pictures. Yours.
really love their coloring. such pretty rust ring around the collar. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, they look pretty neat. Sadly ever since the Avian flu, everyone seems bloody spooked by birds. Hell there seems to be less people going to the local Aviary. It's a real shame to be honest.
ReplyDeletePretty cool birds, seem very intelligent
ReplyDeleteYou remind me to look around at what is outside my door in my own life! I enjoyed your parrots!
ReplyDeleteLoved every single on of'em. Wishing that there was a parrot-like unit in Starcraft.
ReplyDeleteParrots are the best thing to post when you have nothing to say.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had such birds in the wild here. We do have some pretty cool ones, though. AND you've given me a goal for the weekend - take photos of birds!
ReplyDeletebahbaha I dig it TWEET TWEET
ReplyDeleteTheir feathers are pretty drab. I'm pretty used to them having fairly bright feathers.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to see them in the wild :)
ReplyDeletenice birds
ReplyDeleteI like the second video. They get a little feisty.
ReplyDeletewow this is beautiful

new post explaining details
It's so cool that you happen to bump into these things when doing normal day to day stuff! I usually get a carrier bag flown in my face when leaving the gym, not a parrot!
ReplyDeletecute birds! You have most unusual pics on ur blog! Love it! Hope you are having a wonderful day!
